Working with the Youth Center gave me the greatest opportunity to learn how to get along and work with school-aged kids. So far, they're the easiest for me to photograph with their hyper-active and spontaneous characters. I guess being a child myself is pretty rewarding as a talent to capture the sweetest moments of a child's prime years.
Email me if you'd like to have the most affordable rates to have your child photographed.

My Detachable Arm
I would be happy if arm dislocation was painless. Unfortunately, life's not planning to go easy on anyone including me. Two nights ago, I attempted to breakdance again. It went okay until my arm decided to give in when I swung my arm for a pretty dance move I was infusing to my little dance choreography. I went speechless and being too much in pain, I screamed in silence as I walked out of the room with my arm hanging loose out of its socket quietly. And then, it unexpectedly sprung back into the socket but ouh lord and holy cow! Have a teensy mercy on me. I almost threw up with that pain. I felt my arm bone abruptly rubbed against my shoulder bone. Thank goodness for tiny Jeanna who did all she could to make sure my arm's back in its place. Say. Arm sling for two weeks I bet. I went to Emergency Room yesterday in the morning before work to get the sling and told them I'll swing by again to have it looked at.
Now, not so thrilling anymore to have perfectly loose arm for 10 years and I blame basketball. Somehow I think the sports community should consider the ball regulations for 12 year olds and below. Say, make them lighter. And also sue the high school teacher, Madam Aishah, for not being responsible enough to look into the matter when I had it dislocated for the first time during my counselors' training camp. How could she have looked at me blankly when she saw it happen. Weird "seed-planting and kite-cutting, home economics" woman. To clarify the quoted phrase, she was always talking about the metaphor which has got something to do with nurturing and planting seeds and how she'd cut out students she lost her hope in like how one would cut the strings of the kites. And she taught me home economics. I just find her way too robotic and systematic to be a human with her way of teaching and the constant need to influence students in her beliefs and disciplines.
When I become a teacher one day, I'd be the coolest. :D

Fay Hokulani
Fay is an amazing long time friend from Singapore. Not only does she has the talents for modeling, but she is an absolute real-life graphic design artist who has been an inspiration to me all these years. I've seen her grown from a tiny bud to a full bloom lily. To interact with this young, hip and sweet little starsky, you can log on to her myspace and chat with her in a live chatroom on her profile.

Staying put in Japan
Visa processing is very tedious. A lot of complication to it and there's a huge delay in having my passport and visa mailed back to me. So I decided to work temporarily and volunteer wherever I can. And in the meantime, I'll spend time with new friends I made and go for more karaoke session. Kampai!
